CHOOSING THE RIGHT SLEEP SET

Here are a few helpful hints when choosing a mattress set:

When buying for two, both partners should be a part of the decision-making process.

Wear light comfortable clothing; be ready to take your time by trying several beds.

If you feel rushed, don't make a decision.

Ask to see all of the comfort choices which include Firm, Cushion Firm, Plush, and Pillow Top.

After you choose a comfort level, ask to see all beds in that category at different price points.

Buy the best bed you can afford, but please buy the matching box spring.

Be aware of the height of the mattress set and frame -- 26" is the norm.

If you are purchasing a queen set, do you have a tight stairway that may need split box springs?

It may take up to 30 nights to get used to your new sleep set. BE PATIENT!

You will notice a body impression on your bed, which is perfectly normal. Your body is creating your own individual sleep surface. Body impressions under 1 ½" are not covered under warranty.

MATTRESS SIZES

Do your homework ... make the right choice! Choosing a mattress size is determined by who will be sleeping on the bed, the size of the room, and the sleeping habits of the person(s) sleeping on the bed. A queen or king is the best choice for two people. A queen set will actually give you an extra 5 square feet than a full (double) bed. The cost difference is minimal.

If you choose a queen bed, you need to know whether a queen box spring will fit up a tight stairway. If it does not fit, you will need split box springs (2 halves) at an extra cost.

A king mattress does not fold in half unless it is a Tempur Pedic, latex, or other foam bed with no springs. A king automatically comes with 2 box springs.

There will always be a cheaper price. When comparison shopping, please take into consideration how you will get your purchase from the mainland to the Vineyard and at what cost to whom? If you use a transportation company, there will be a steep delivery and set-up charge. How are you going to dispose of your old bedding? The transfer station in Oak Bluffs charges $50 per piece. Extra handling means potential damage to your new bed. We buy Sealy by the trailerload and only our staff handles the bed. How will an off-island dealer handle a warranty issue?
